In this class we will ask ‘what is philosophy?’ in the hopes of defending the importance of this discipline for the individual and society. In this endeavor we shall trek through the history of philosophy while unpacking some of the major issues and problems in metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, logic and politics. Furthermore we will address the perennial problems of the good life, personal identity, authenticity and social responsibility.

Jean Paul Satre
So Satre says that each individual is responsible for their own decisions, which define your essence, and that we are all responsible for the world not God. But couldn't someone say that God gave us this freedom of choice and the way you take absolute responsibility for your decisions on earth is on judgment day at the gates of Heaven when you die. And wouldn't everyone be living in Bad Faith because no one can control the thoughts other people place in their minds which might remain in their subconciousness.
