Virtue in War

Is there virtue in war? To be virtuous, you must have the knowledge of virtue and the knowledge of good. Good is defined as being coherent with all beliefs, universally applicable, and practical. So which side is just? Which country is doing good? Is either? All nations involved believe they are doing good, which would make them virtuous. But are their definitions of good coherent with all beliefs, universally applicable, and practical? Do they not have true knowledge of good? But if that’s the case, what type of citizens are we and are they? Is fighting for what you believe in no longer courageous (because courage is a virtue)? Or is virtue more of a personal definition? Can to opposing people both be courageous and virtuous?
