Philosophy is not me

I have not yet been convinced philosophy relates to me. I feel like Bertrand Russel couldn't have described me any better than by the "practical man." My life seems too hectic for me to spend hours pondering about life's greatest questions. There aren't enough hours in the day as it is! Because of this I'm forced to except things at face value just to get through the day. This leads me to the question of what is wrong with being a practical man? The reason water comes out of the faucet when we turn the knob and the lights turn on when we flip the switch is due to the labors of practical men. I think society is dependent on practicality and that is why is stresses it so much. I'm not saying there is no need for philosophy at all and I want to see it's importance I'm just saying that it isn't clear to me yet.
